Meet the Pi Sigma Alpha Staff

Tanya Schwarz, PhD

Executive Director
Prior to joining Pi Sigma Alpha in 2021, Tanya served as Director of Teaching & Learning at the American Political Science Association. She also has experience teaching at Hollins University, Loyola Marymount University, and California Institute of the Arts. Tanya earned her PhD in political science from the University of California, Irvine and is committed to working towards a more equitable and just academy.

Erika Kotroba

Manager, Membership and Programs
Erika joined the Pi Sigma Alpha staff in June 2021. Prior to that, she worked in operations for an online K-12 school after receiving her Master's degree in Education Management from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies. Having worked and interned in various education organizations, she is passionate about supporting students of all backgrounds and experiences!

Alveera Munshi

Intern, Marketing & Communications
Alveera is is currently attending Rutgers University, where she is majoring in computer science and minoring in quantitative economics and biological sciences. Alveera's passion lies in using social media as a powerful tool to combat misinformation and promote positive decision-making, particularly in the realm of politics. She strongly believes in the importance of fostering accessible educational opportunities for students from all backgrounds.
