The Pi Sigma Alpha National Student Research Conference is an annual event where PSA undergraduate members come together with graduate students, faculty, and career professionals to present their research, attend professional development events, and networks with their peers.
Sundays at the National Student Research Conference are dedicated to professional development workshops and panels. They cover an array of professional fields, such as government, advocacy and nonprofits, and international careers. PSA members are encouraged to check out past recordings for helpful advice on grad/law school, career paths, and publishing.
Howard Penniman Scholarships for Graduate Study are awarded annually to up to 5 members entering graduate school in political science. Nominations must come from the chapter advisors, accompanied by an official application. Each scholarship is $2,000.
Pi Sigma Alpha awards up to 5 McManus Washington Internship Scholarships annually to members participating in political science internship programs in Washington, DC, for either the summer term or fall semester. Each scholarship is $2,000.
Pi Sigma Alpha keeps a running list of relevant events, awards, and activities to help political science undergraduate and graduate students prepare for their upcoming careers. If you think your activity/event should be added to this list, please contact the national office (office@pisigmaalpha.org).
