Pi Sigma Alpha provides funding to members and chapters through scholarships for graduate school and internships in Washington, DC, best paper and thesis awards, as well as chapter activity grants.
Pi Sigma Alpha student members are eligible to present their research at the annual Pi Sigma Alpha National Student Research Conference, which takes place annually in Washington, DC, connecting students, faculty, and career professionals from around the country.
Pi Sigma Alpha undergraduate student members now have access to join APSA at a discounted rate of $26. APSA members gain complete access to APSA’s benefits and resources including the eJobs job board and the APSA Mentoring Program. Pi Sigma Alpha chapters give back to their campuses and communities through a range of sponsored events and volunteer activities. In addition, many chapters promote civic engagement through registration and Get-Out-the-Vote drives.

According to the US Office of Personnel Management, "membership in a national honor society meets one of the requirements for entrance at the GS-7 level in numerous professional and technical occupations in the Federal service." Whereas, college graduates without similar experiences can expect to start at the GS-5 level.
Joining Pi Sigma Alpha is a great way to connect with other students, faculty, and career professionals interested in political science and public policy. Over 300,000 individuals have joined PSA since 1920, including a range of prominent politicians, scholars, attorneys, and nonprofit and business leaders.
Members can access a 10% discount on a professional development "lab" membership with Dr. Analia Gomez Vidal, C.P.C., a bilingual entrepreneur, researcher, and career coach. Lab membership includes access to monthly office hours with Dr. Gomez Vidal, a private lab group to discuss career challenges with peers, and a professional development resource library.
Pi Sigma Alpha members only pay a one-time fee to join. The $35 membership fee is one of the lowest of any honor society in the country.
