Scholarships, Grants, & Awards

Pi Sigma Alpha provides funding to members and chapters through scholarships for graduate school and internships in Washington, DC, best paper and thesis awards, as well as chapter activity grants.

Participation in National Student Research Conference

Pi Sigma Alpha student members are eligible to present their research at the annual Pi Sigma Alpha National Student Research Conference, which takes place annually in Washington, DC, connecting students, faculty, and career professionals from around the country.

Start as a GS-7 Federal Employee

According to the US Office of Personnel Management, "membership in a national honor society meets one of the requirements for entrance at the GS-7 level in numerous professional and technical occupations in the Federal service." Whereas, college graduates without similar experiences can expect to start at the GS-5 level.

Discount on Kaplan Prep Courses

Are you planning on applying to law school or graduate school in the near future? Pi Sigma Alpha student members receive 10% off Kaplan comprehensive prep courses. Make a Difference on Campus and in Your Community

Pi Sigma Alpha chapters give back to their campuses and communities through a range of sponsored events and volunteer activities. In addition, many chapters promote civic engagement through registration and Get-Out-the-Vote drives.

Discounted APSA Membership

Pi Sigma Alpha student members now have access to join APSA at a discounted rate of $26. APSA members gain complete access to APSA’s benefits and resources including the eJobs job board and the APSA Mentoring Program. Join an Established Community of Scholars and Professionals

Lifetime Membership

Pi Sigma Alpha members only pay a one-time fee to join. The $35 membership fee is one of the lowest of any honors society in the country.
